Robotics & Automation CNC Machining
Joint housings, actuator bodies and structural links for humanoid, collaborative and industrial robots — machined to interchange without shimming.
What we machine
Robot joints, actuator bodies and structural links
Robot performance is decided at the joint: bore alignment, wall thickness and mass distribution all matter. We machine harmonic-drive housings, actuator bodies and arm links in one setup where possible, then verify the interfaces that control backlash and repeatability.
- Harmonic-drive and strain-wave housings
- Actuator, gearbox and motor bodies
- Arm links, end-effector plates and brackets
- Sensor mounts and cable clamps
Materials & finishes
6061 and 7075 aluminium, 304/316 stainless, titanium, POM and PEEK. Anodising, bead blasting, passivation and laser marking are available.
Process & tolerance
3-, 4- and 5-axis milling plus turning; ±0.005 mm on critical features, 0.01 mm bore-to-bore concentricity, Ra 0.2 μm on bearing seats.
Quality documentation
First-article inspection, CMM reports, SPC on repeat batches and kitted delivery by robot sub-assembly.

Why GreatLight
Built for robotics programs
Designed for assembly
Bores, faces and mounting patterns are machined in one setup so arms assemble without hand fitting.
Prototype to series
The same fixtures and inspection plan carry a joint from prototype to production.
Documented repeatability
CMM data and SPC keep critical diameters stable across batches.
