Small-Batch Production of Custom Parts
From one piece to a few thousand — repeatable fixtures, documented inspection, and pricing that respects small quantities.

Small quantities, production discipline
Small-batch production is where many suppliers get sloppy: an order of 200 parts gets prototype treatment — hand-finished, spot-checked, untraceable. We run it as production: dedicated fixtures, programmed cycles, gauges at the machine and a documented first article. The batch behaves like the series that may follow, which is exactly what validation builds need.
Quantities from 1 to roughly 5,000 pieces per release, with a clear scale-up path: the same fixtures and programs carry into larger runs when your demand grows.
- No MOQ — one piece is a valid order
- Dedicated fixtures and programs from the first batch
- First-article inspection plus in-process checks
- Consistent pricing across repeat releases
- Direct scale-up to mass production without re-qualification
Typical schedules
Batch sizes and lead times
| Batch size | Typical route | Lead time |
|---|---|---|
| 1–10 pcs | CNC machining, single fixture | 3–7 working days |
| 10–200 pcs | CNC machining with dedicated fixture | 7–12 working days |
| 200–1,000 pcs | CNC cells with in-process probing | 12–20 working days |
| 1,000–5,000 pcs | Lights-out cells, scheduled releases | Per release plan |
Schedules start from drawing release. Repeat batches re-use existing fixtures and programs — faster and cheaper than the first run.
Validate, then scale
The batch is the proof
Use a small batch to validate the process, not just the part. When it is right, the same setup moves into volume production — no re-sourcing, no second qualification project.
